A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language. Huddleston and Pullum (2002). You will be expected to develop your business English knowledge, including spoken and written communication and critical thinking skills, while learning various kinds of authentic English. In this course, students are expected to learn 1. Vocabulary and expressions for business English, especially for reading and listening, 2. Business English skills for effective spoken and written communication, 3. Strategic competence necessary for global business. By the end of this course, you will be able to: -Comprehend basic vocabulary and expressions for business English -Speak and write basic-level short sentences about business topics -Ask and answer questions about basic business issues in English, especially about intercultural business and management -Present your basic ideas about global business communication in English 「学校では扱われない英語の文法や構文」に関する英語文献を読むー世界最高峰の2大英文法書を中心に Gender and sexuality in Japan The aim of this course is to enable students to read and critically engage with academic articles written in English about gender issues. In class, students will discuss topics related to Japanese youth, namely gender equality, LGBT issues and sexual harassment, and compare how Japan and other countries perceive these issues.
