In class, students will discuss topics related to Japanese youth, namely gender, sexuality and bodies. Students will also collect data on a topic covered in class through readings or interviews/surveys. このクラスでは、日本の若者について英語で書かれた学術文献を読みます。内容は、ジェンダー・セクシャリティ・身体等です。また、授業で触れた内容について実際に文献かインタビュー・アンケート等でデータ収集をします。 授業科目名 開講 （クラス指定セメスター型） Making bridge from comprehension to practice In this course, you will learn various kinds of English vocabulary and expressions necessary for practical business communication. You will be expected to develop your business English knowledge, including spoken and written communication and critical thinking skills, while learning various kinds of authentic English. In this course, students are expected to learn 1. Vocabulary and expressions for business English, especially for reading and listening, 2. Business English skills for effective spoken and written communication, 3. Strategic competence necessary for global business. By the end of this course, you will be able to: -Comprehend basic vocabulary and expressions for business English -Speak and write basic-level short sentences about business topics -Ask and answer questions about basic business issues in English, especially about intercultural business and management -Present your basic ideas about global business communication in English 開講 授業科目名 （クラス指定セメスター型） 「学校では扱われない英語の文法や構文」に関する英語文献を読むー世界最高峰の2大英文法書を中心に 講義題目 授業の目標概要 本授業の目標は、一義的には学術的な英文を完璧に読むための読解力の養成です。また、学校文法で扱われることのない（にもかかわらず実際の英語では頻繁に確認できる）文法や構文に関する文献を読み、英語についての洞察を深めることを第二の目標とします。 なお、使用する教材は、世界最高峰の2大英文法書： Quirk et al (1985). A Comprehensive Grammar of the English Language. Huddleston and Pullum (2002).
