You will read a variety of text such as newspaper articles, speeches, and short research papers during this term. It will help students to have a broad perspective on social issues and better understand current events in the world. You will also develop academic interests for the future research through the readings. English Reading Comprehension in Context This course is designed to help students improve their comprehension and critical understanding of the English language in its written form. Working individually and in groups, students will learn to decode, interpret, and contextualize literary English. Course materials will be selected primarily from the genres of journalism and literature.
