Recently, conveying information skillfully to others has become increasingly important. This class is designed to provide students opportunities presenting their research project(s) in English. You will be assigned to groups, and are expected to hone your presentation content and skills through a process of peer review. In more detail, you first introduce a brief outline of your research (e.g. research questions, research methods, brief summary of main arguments, etc.) to your classmates for about 10 minutes. Your classmates will give you feedback on this draft presentation. With this feedback, you will improve your presentation. Throughout this process, you will be expected to learn how to make an academic presentation. Contemporary Japanese society in English academic texts 学術文献から見る現代日本社会 The aim of this course is to enable students to read and critically engage with academic articles written in English.
