Examples of topics for group research: Education and [Integration policy, nationalism, citizenship, gender, social class, parental or educational strategy, language, acculturation, academic achievement, identity etc.] <Expected outcomes of this course> Students will be expected to ・Explain the current flow of immigrants, focusing on a few countries, ・Explain the basic sociological concepts and theories relevant to immigrants and education, ・Participate in and contribute to group work in a comparative study of the education of immigrants, ・Present the outcomes of group research in class, and ・Participate in and contribute to class discussions, comparing educational policies, practices, issues, etc., concerning immigrants in certain counties. •Review Work（20%） Students will be expected to take a few quizzes to review the contents discussed during class every week.
